Fish Fry With Purti Soyalite Refined Soyabean Oil

Fish Fry is a beloved dish originating from coastal regions, celebrated for its crispy exterior and succulent, flavourful interior. This recipe showcases the versatility of Purti Soyalite Refined Soyabean Oil, enhancing the taste and aroma of the dish. Ingredients:

 

  • – Firm white-fleshed fish (such as seer fish or paarai meen)
  • – Chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and garam       masala powder
  • – Freshly ground ginger and garlic
  • – Lemon juice or vinegar
  • – Finely chopped curry leaves
  • – Purti Soyalite Refined Soyabean Oil

 

Marinating Fish:

 

      • Step 1: Begin by preparing the marination. Combine chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, freshly ground ginger-garlic paste, chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, and salt in a shallow bowl.
    • Step 2: Mix the ingredients thoroughly to form a thick paste-like consistency. Adjust the thickness with water or additional lemon juice as needed.
    • Step 3: Make deep slashes on the fish to allow the marination to penetrate.
    • Step 4: Apply the marination evenly over the fish, ensuring it coats both sides and penetrates into the slashes.
    • Step 5: Allow the fish to marinate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour, ensuring the flavors infuse  thoroughly.

 

Cooking Process:

 

  • Step 1: Heat Purti Soyalite Refined Soyabean Oil in a shallow frying pan, such as cast iron or nonstick.
  • Step 2: Once the oil is hot, carefully place the marinated fish in the pan. Fry on high heat for 4 to 5 minutes, allowing the fish to develop a crispy exterior.
  • Step 3: Carefully flip the fish and reduce the heat. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes on the other side until the fish is cooked through and golden brown.
