  • – 1/4 cup peas
  • – 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • – 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • – Salt as required
  • – 1 Pinch asafoetida
  • – 1 onion
  • – 10 green beans
  • – 1 capsicum (green pepper)
  • – 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • – 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • – 1 tablespoon Purti Refined Palmolein Oil
  • – 1 green chilli

How to make Masala Oats

·         Step 1 Saute the ingredients

Heat Purti Refined Palmolein Oil in a pan. Add asafoetida and chopped green chillies. Saute for a minute.

·         Step 2 Add veggies and spices

Now add chopped onion and saute them until golden in colour. Now add chopped carrot, beans, capsicum and peas to the pan. Add salt as per taste and mix well. Saute the veggies for 3-4 minutes and now add the rest of the spices like red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and garam masala. Mix well and cook for two more minutes.

·         Step 3 Add oats

Now add oats along with 2 cups of water. Give a mix and cover with a lid. Cook until the water is absorbed by the oats. Make sure the consistency of oats is not too thick as well. Keep stirring in between to avoid oats from sticking at the bottom.

·         Step 4 Ready to be served

Once cooked, serve the oats hot.

Tips
  1. 1. You can add 1/2 teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala to give a lip-smacking flavour to the masala oats.
