A Brief History of Veggie Nuggets
While chicken nuggets became famous in the 1950s in the U.S., the vegetarian version gained popularity much later, thanks to global fusion cuisine and the rise of healthier eating habits. In India, veggie nuggets have evolved into a beloved snack because they blend traditional Indian spices with a Western-style crunchy bite. Over time, households began experimenting with different vegetables and flavour combinations, making veggie nuggets not just a snack, but a favourite comfort food across age groups. Today, they’re a staple in parties, cafés, and home kitchens, especially for parents looking for a healthy snack option for kids.
