Onion rings – a crispy yummy tea time snack!

Crispy Onion Rings is surely the go-to snack for your tea time! Whether it’s baked or fried, they are a huge hit appetizer that you will want to make again and again. Perfectly seasoned onion rings that are extra crispy gives a perfect crunch in every bite, and surprisingly it is easy to make at home. Simply follow this easy recipe and make your family go crazy over these delicious onion rings!

INGREDIENTS:
– All-purpose flour – 2 cups
– Paprika – 2 teaspoons
– Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
– Salt as required
– Pepper – ½ teaspoon
– Club soda – 1 & 1/2 cups  (or any soft drink of your choice)
– Large onions – 2
– Purti rice bran oil for deep frying

PREPARATION:
– Take a large bowl and put 1 & 1/2 cups of flour with paprika, garlic powder,
salt and pepper. Put club soda into the mixture and whisk together.
– Let the batter rest for about 10 minutes.
– Slice the large onions horizontally into thick rings. Make sure to cut the tip
of the stem side of the onions.
– Toss the onion rings with 1/2 cup of flour in another bowl.
– Heat Purti rice bran oil in a large pan.
– Dip the onion rings into the prepared batter, shake of the excess batter and
drop them into the oil for frying.
– Fry the onions on medium heat and flip them once. Fry till golden brown.
– Remove the onion rings in on a tissue paper to get rid of the excess oil.
– Serve with mayonnaise or tomato ketchup.
