Ghee and home remedies

Ghee or clarified butter is one of India’s most treasured foods, and it has long been known for its healing properties and health and beauty benefits. Prepared from milk, ghee contains omega-3 fatty acids,vitamin A, butyric acid and healthy fats. From strengthening the immune system to aiding the digestive system, it has innumerable benefits. Today we will be taking a look at all the home remedies that ghee has to offer.

  • Diabetics – Consuming rice and wheat roti may not be healthy for a diabetic patient. As they have high glycaemic index, spreading ghee over chapattis or rice help bring down the glycaemic index, and make it more digestible.
  • Skin Treatment – Fatty acids present in ghee act as a nourishing agent that provides benefit to the dull skin.
  • Hair – Antioxidants and fatty acids present in ghee, make it an excellent hair conditioner for dry hair.
  • Burning belly fat – The richness of amino acids in ghee help in mobilizing the fat and making fat cells shrink in size. The omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids helps shedding body fat.
  • Clogged nose – Continuous sneezing and difficulty in breathing as a result of clogged nose can be quite annoying. The taste sense disappears followed by headaches.Now if few drops of warm pure desi ghee is poured into the nostrils,you are guaranteed of an instant relief!!
