Introduction: Badam Pista Barfi is a rich and indulgent treat that celebrates the flavors of almonds and pistachios. It’s a perfect blend of sweetness and nuttiness, making it a favorite among sweet lovers. This delectable dessert is a staple during festive occasions like Diwali and Holi.

Ingredients:

•  1/2 cup almonds, blanched and powdered

•  1/2 cup pistachios, shelled and powdered

•  1 cup sugar

•  1/4 cup water

•  2 tablespoons milk powder

•  2 drops green food color (optional)

•  1 teaspoon Purti Vanaspati

•  1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

•  2 tablespoons almonds and pistachios, chopped

Instructions:

Step 1 :  Prepare the Nuts:

Soak the almonds in hot water for 30 minutes.

Peel the skin and pat them dry.

Grind the almonds and pistachios into a fine powder.

 

Step 2 : Make the Sugar Syrup:

In a saucepan, combine sugar and water.

Heat the mixture until it reaches one-string consistency.

 

Step 3 : Combine Ingredients:

Add the almond-pistachio powder, milk powder, and green food color to the sugar syrup.

Stir continuously over low-medium heat until the mixture thickens.

 

Step 4 : Add Flavorings and Set:

Add Purti Vanaspati and cardamom powder to the mixture.

Pour the mixture into a greased tray lined with baking paper.

Level the surface and top with chopped nuts.

 

Step 5 : Cool and Cut:

Let the barfi cool completely.

Cut into desired shapes and store in an airtight container.
